About Us

Eastern Embers, operated by Shaw Resources, was established in 1995 in Hardwoodlands, Nova Scotia. This facility uses 100% softwood fibre sourced from sawmills in Central Nova Scotia and focuses primarily on bagging high quality, residential heating pellets. We are proud that Eastern Embers wood pellets adhere to the premium grade standards set by the Pellet Fuel Institute.

Shaw Resources is a proud member of both the Pellet Fuel Institute (PFI) and the Wood Pellet Association of Canada (WPAC).
